Shmoledge is an academic author search engine that helps you discover the most relevant researchers for any topic. Whether you're looking for collaborators, reviewers, or just want to explore who's leading research in a particular field, Shmoledge makes it easy.
How It Works
- Paper Search: We search Semantic Scholar's database of over 200 million academic papers to find those matching your query.
- Author Extraction: We identify all authors from the most relevant papers.
- Profile Enrichment: We fetch detailed author profiles including h-index, citation counts, and affiliations.
- Relevance Ranking: Authors are ranked based on multiple factors including their number of relevant papers, citation impact, and overall academic influence.
Ranking Algorithm
Our relevance score considers:
- Relevant Paper Count (40%): How many of the author's papers match your query
- Paper Citations (25%): Citation impact of their relevant papers
- h-index (20%): Author's overall academic influence
- Total Citations (10%): Career-wide citation count
